Deezer, the French music streaming service, has unveiled a new version of its application designed for cars with integrated Google and those equipped with the Faurecia Aptoide automotive app store. Notably, recent car models from Renault and BMW are among those using the Faurecia Aptoide app store, which means the new Deezer application will have a relatively broad audience upon its release.

The new automotive application allows Deezer premium users to access their playlists and personalized AI-generated recommendations directly through the car's interface, eliminating the need to use their phones while driving.

DEEZER TRANSFORMS THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE WITH ANDROID AUTO:

Nicolas Pinoteau, Vice President of Product and Engineering at Deezer, expressed the company's enthusiasm for the launch of the new automotive application, which enables drivers to easily access their favorite music. Pinoteau also emphasized the importance of music in enhancing the driving experience and praised the collaboration with renowned car manufacturers to achieve this goal.

To better compete with rival applications, Deezer has packed the new version with exciting features. Among them is a voice command function that allows users to navigate through their playlists without taking their eyes off the road.

As usual, to access the full range of features, users will need to subscribe to Deezer Premium, which costs €10.99 per month. This subscription unlocks access to Flow, which provides personalized AI-generated recommendations directly in the car. For those who want to test the waters first, Deezer offers a two-month free trial of its music streaming service.

Now that Spotify has abandoned its Car Thing, Deezer has an opportunity to convince new users with its vast library of over 90 million songs for the free version, supported by ads, and a staggering 120 million songs for the paid version.

In conclusion, Deezer's latest application for Android Auto and compatible car systems is set to challenge Spotify's position in the in-car music streaming market. With its user-friendly interface, voice command functionality, and a vast collection of songs, Deezer aims to enhance the driving experience for music enthusiasts on the road. As competition intensifies, it will be interesting to see how both Deezer and Spotify evolve their offerings to cater to the ever-growing demand for seamless music integration in vehicles.
